Willy D. Light is Pacific Northwest-based artist crafting ukulele driven tunes inspired by the golden age of rocksteady & reggae, vintage surf, and the lush sounds of island style music.
His music is an invitation to slow down and rest easy. To let go of where you thought you needed to be and appreciating where you are. It’s feelgood and whimsical while centering lyrical themes of care, compassion, and presence. These themes are evident in his self-titled EP, with each song offering a flavors of simplicity, insight, ease, and play.
Willy draws from his experience of professional hospice chaplaincy to create a musical refuge of hope.
Backed by a talented group of musicians from bands like Soul Vibrator and Yaad and Abroad, the ‘delights’ offer laid-back yet tight performances that connect and uplift.
